AL-QUR’AN DAN SEMESTA MAKNA: KAJIAN KOMPREHENSIF ATAS SEJARAH KODIFIKASI, KEMUKJIZATAN, DAN DINAMIKA MODEL TAFSIR

Abstract

The Quran is not only understood as a holy book, but also as the primary source of Islamic teachings, containing broad and profound dimensions of meaning. Over time, the study of the Quran has undergone significant dynamics, both in terms of its codification history, its miraculous nature, and its interpretative models. This study aims to comprehensively examine these three aspects within the framework of the "universe of meaning" of the Quran. The method used is a qualitative approach with library research, through analysis of various literature such as tafsir books, scientific books, and relevant journal articles. The results show that the process of codification of the Quran occurred gradually from the time of the Prophet Muhammad to its standardization during the reign of Caliph Uthman ibn Affan, demonstrating a systematic effort to maintain the authenticity of the revelation. Furthermore, the miraculous nature of the Quran lies not only in its linguistic aspects but also encompasses scientific, historical, and spiritual dimensions that remain relevant throughout the ages. On the other hand, the dynamics of interpretation demonstrate the development from classical to contemporary approaches influenced by social and cultural contexts, thus making the Quran a text open to contextual interpretation. Thus, the Quran can be understood as a "universe of meaning" that is dynamic in responding to the various challenges of human life.
