The phenomenon of negative narratives on social media is becoming increasingly prominent with the development of a culture of quick comments, unverified assumptions, and the public's tendency to form opinions based on fragmented pieces of information. This situation is closely related to the practice of prejudice, which has been prohibited from the outset in Islamic teachings, particularly in QS. al-Hujur?t: 12. This study aims to describe al-Sudd?'s interpretation of the prohibition of prejudice and analyze its relevance to the dynamics of negative narratives in the digital space. Using qualitative methods and a descriptive-analytical approach, this study examines al-Sudd?'s commentaries and relates them to contemporary communication phenomena. The results show that al-Sudd? views prejudice as the primary source of backbiting, slander, and social rift. A picture that closely parallels the negative interaction patterns of social media users today. These findings confirm that the Qur'anic message of caution in assessing and disseminating information remains relevant as a guideline for digital communication ethics in the modern era.
