This study was conducted because traditional hermeneutics in tafsir bi al-ma’thur is often positioned as a classical method, whereas it contains a systematic epistemological structure through source hierarchy, sanad-matn criticism, tasdiq, and tarjih. The research problem asks how traditional hermeneutics operates within tafsir bi al-ma’thur, while the objective is to analyze the authority of transmission, source structure, and interpretive practice in the works of al-Tabari, Ibn Kathir, and al-Suyuti. The data were processed through library research by reading, classifying, comparing, and analyzing classical tafsir literature and Indonesian scholarly journals published from 2020 to 2026. The findings show that tafsir bi al-ma’thur has four concrete elements: textual authority, sanad continuity, report criticism, and restricted ra’yu. Therefore, traditional hermeneutics functions as an interpretive foundation that preserves Qur’anic authenticity while allowing measured methodological development.
2026-09-08T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 https://jurnal.alhikmah.ac.id/index.php/alkareem/article/view/788 PARENTING THROUGH ROLE MODELING: STUDI QURAN TEMATIK GROUNDED THEORY 2026-09-08T13:24:56+00:00 Regina Cahyani Putri putrireginaaaaa11@gmail.com Muhammad Alif muhammad.alif@uinbanten.ac.id
This study aims to analyze the concept of role modeling in parenting according to the Qur'anic perspective using Structured Thematic Analysis (STA) adopted from the grounded theory framework by Glaser, Strauss, and Charmaz. The primary data of this research are Qur'anic verses on role modeling, namely QS Luqman verses 13–19, QS Al-Baqarah verse 132, QS Al-Ahzab verse 21, QS Ibrahim verse 40, QS As-Saffat verse 102, QS Al-Isra verse 23, QS Yusuf verses 4–5, QS Ali Imran verse 159, QS An-Nahl verse 125, QS At-Tahrim verse 6, and QS Al-Furqan verse 74. The data were analyzed through the stages of open coding, axial coding, and selective coding with triangulation of classical and contemporary Qur'anic exegesis. The findings reveal that role modeling in parenting according to the Qur'an is integrated into two main dimensions, namely uswah qawliyah (verbal role modeling) and uswah fi'liyah (behavioral role modeling). Uswah qawliyah encompasses the transmission of aqidah, accountability education, and intergenerational value legacy. Meanwhile, uswah fi'liyah encompasses uswah ha-sanah, the chain of role modeling, daily behavior, and intergenerational prayer. Com-munication between parents and children is built upon the principles of deliberation (musyawarah), respectful communication, protective advice, gentleness in parenting, and good educational methods, all of which culminate in the protective responsibility to safeguard the family from hellfire. In conclusion, role modeling in parenting according to the Qur'an is a holistic educational system that integrates speech, behavior, commu-nication, protection, and prayer within a framework of sustainable intergenerational tauhid.
2026-09-08T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 https://jurnal.alhikmah.ac.id/index.php/alkareem/article/view/789 RELASI GENDER DALAM RANAH POLITIK: PERSPEKTIF AL-QUR’AN DAN TAFSIR (KEPEMIMPINAN, PARTISIPASI POLITIK, DAN WACANA TAFSIR KONTEMPORER) 2026-09-09T11:52:18+00:00 Nurul Hidayah nurul.hidayah23025@mhs.uingusdur.ac.id Nur Sakinah nurul.hidayah23025@mhs.uingusdur.ac.id Nur Khoirunnisa nurul.hidayah23025@mhs.uingusdur.ac.id
Gender relations in the political sphere remain one of the prominent issues in contemporary Islamic studies. Debates surrounding women's leadership, political participation, and the interpretation of Qur’anic verses related to gender relations have produced diverse perspectives among Muslim scholars and exegetes. This study aims to examine gender relations in politics from the perspective of the Qur’an and its interpretations, focusing on leadership, political participation, and contemporary exegetical discourse. The research employs a library research method with a descriptive-analytical approach to relevant Qur’anic verses and various classical and contemporary tafsir literature. The findings indicate that the Qur’an positions both men and women as equal moral agents who share responsibility in promoting social welfare and justice. Although certain verses have often been used to restrict women's leadership roles, contemporary interpretations tend to contextualize these verses within their socio-historical settings, thereby allowing broader opportunities for women to participate in and hold political office. Women's political participation is viewed as part of the implementation of the Qur’anic principles of justice, consultation (sh?r?), and enjoining good while forbidding evil, which apply to all believers regardless of gender. Therefore, contemporary tafsir discourse offers a more inclusive understanding of gender relations in politics while remaining grounded in Qur’anic values. This study contributes to the development of gender-oriented Qur’anic interpretation and enriches discussions on the role of women in Islamic political thought.
2026-09-09T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 https://jurnal.alhikmah.ac.id/index.php/alkareem/article/view/793 AL-QUR’AN DAN SEMESTA MAKNA: KAJIAN KOMPREHENSIF ATAS SEJARAH KODIFIKASI, KEMUKJIZATAN, DAN DINAMIKA MODEL TAFSIR 2026-09-12T03:01:13+00:00 Muhammad Fatah Anbiya fatahanbiya@gmail.com Firgie Ahmad Fadhlurrahman firgiahmad35801@gmail.com Azizah Nur Huzaifah huzaifahazizah@gmail.com
The Quran is not only understood as a holy book, but also as the primary source of Islamic teachings, containing broad and profound dimensions of meaning. Over time, the study of the Quran has undergone significant dynamics, both in terms of its codification history, its miraculous nature, and its interpretative models. This study aims to comprehensively examine these three aspects within the framework of the "universe of meaning" of the Quran. The method used is a qualitative approach with library research, through analysis of various literature such as tafsir books, scientific books, and relevant journal articles. The results show that the process of codification of the Quran occurred gradually from the time of the Prophet Muhammad to its standardization during the reign of Caliph Uthman ibn Affan, demonstrating a systematic effort to maintain the authenticity of the revelation. Furthermore, the miraculous nature of the Quran lies not only in its linguistic aspects but also encompasses scientific, historical, and spiritual dimensions that remain relevant throughout the ages. On the other hand, the dynamics of interpretation demonstrate the development from classical to contemporary approaches influenced by social and cultural contexts, thus making the Quran a text open to contextual interpretation. Thus, the Quran can be understood as a "universe of meaning" that is dynamic in responding to the various challenges of human life.
2026-09-12T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026 https://jurnal.alhikmah.ac.id/index.php/alkareem/article/view/795 NARASI NEGATIF DI MEDIA SOSIAL: ANALISIS KUALITATIF PENAFSIRAN AL-SUDD? This situation is closely related to the practice of prejudice, which has been prohibited from the outset in Islamic teachings, particularly in QS. al-Hujur?t: 12. This study aims to describe al-Sudd?'s interpretation of the prohibition of prejudice and analyze its relevance to the dynamics of negative narratives in the digital space. Using qualitative methods and a descriptive-analytical approach, this study examines al-Sudd?'s commentaries and relates them to contemporary communication phenomena. The results show that al-Sudd? views prejudice as the primary source of backbiting, slander, and social rift. A picture that closely parallels the negative interaction patterns of social media users today. These findings confirm that the Qur'anic message of caution in assessing and disseminating information remains relevant as a guideline for digital communication ethics in the modern era.
2026-09-14T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2026
