Focus and Scope

Qurrata: Quranic Research and Tafsir is a scholarly journal that focuses on the study of the Qur’an and its exegesis through classical, modern, and contemporary approaches. The journal aims to serve as an academic platform for researchers, scholars, and practitioners to develop comprehensive, critical, and contextual understandings of the Qur’anic text, both in terms of interpretive methodologies and its relevance to contemporary life.

The scope of this journal includes studies in Qur’anic exegesis (tafsir), ulum al-Qur’an, and various methodological approaches such as hermeneutics, linguistics, and historical analysis. It also covers interdisciplinary studies connecting the Qur’an with contemporary issues in social, cultural, educational, environmental, and communication contexts. In addition, the journal welcomes research on living Qur’an practices, manuscript and philological studies, as well as analyses of classical and modern Qur’anic commentators.
