Peer Review Process
Review Process
Every manuscript submitted to Qurrata: Quranic Research and Tafsir undergoes a rigorous editorial and peer-review process to ensure academic quality and relevance. Initially, all submissions are evaluated by the Editorial Board through an initial review process. Manuscripts that do not meet the journal’s scope, standards, or formatting requirements will be rejected at this stage without external review. Manuscripts deemed suitable and of potential interest to the journal’s readership will proceed to the next stage.
Selected manuscripts are then sent to expert reviewers through a double-blind peer review process, in which both authors and reviewers remain anonymous. The reviewers assess each manuscript based on its substantive contribution and technical quality. The peer reviewers affiliated with Qurrata: Quranic Research and Tafsir are recognized experts in the field of Qur’anic studies and tafsir, with experience in reputable national and international academic publications. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor makes a final decision: acceptance, revision (minor or major), or rejection. Authors are given an opportunity to revise their manuscripts accordingly. The entire review process typically takes up to one month.
Review Workflow:
- Author submits the manuscript
