Plagiarism Policy
Qurrata: Quranic Research and Tafsir admits that plagiarism is unacceptable, therefore establishing a policy stating punitive action if plagiarism is identified in an article submitted for publication in Qurrata: Quranic Research and Tafsir.
Articles must be original, unpublished, and not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Any material taken verbatim from other sources must be clearly identified and properly cited so that it is distinguishable from the original text.
If plagiarism is identified, the Editor-in-Chief is responsible for reviewing the article and will determine appropriate actions according to the level of plagiarism detected, based on the following guidelines:
- Minor plagiarism: Plagiarizing short passages from other articles without proper citation.
Action: The author will receive a warning and be required to revise the text and provide correct citations. - Major plagiarism: Plagiarizing substantial parts of other articles without proper citation or acknowledgment.
Action: The submitted article will be rejected for publication in Qurrata: Quranic Research and Tafsir, and the author(s) may be prohibited from submitting future manuscripts to the journal.
