Peer Review Process

Dirasat: Journal of Islamic Studies implements a double-blind peer review process to ensure the quality, objectivity, and academic integrity of all published articles. In this process, both the identities of the authors and the reviewers are concealed from each other. Every submitted manuscript is first evaluated by the editorial team to assess its suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, adherence to submission guidelines, and originality. Manuscripts that pass this initial screening will be forwarded to at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

The reviewers evaluate the manuscript based on several criteria, including originality, methodological rigor, clarity of analysis, relevance to Islamic studies, and contribution to scholarly discourse. Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions: accept, minor revision, major revision, or reject. Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers’ comments within the specified timeframe. The final decision regarding publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief. The entire review process is conducted with a commitment to confidentiality, fairness, and academic ethics.
